This felt a little bit in slow motion and then like swimming underwater. I’m about 5 floors up in a wobbly building, and for a minute I did not hear if the traffic out on circuito was noisy as usual or not noisy? It lasts for long moment and after it stops the building is still a little shaky, the soft earth trembles, the lights stop flickering, then the sound of the traffic resumes again to my ears. The regular hum sounds, two car alarms close by going off here and there.

Earthquake rocks Mexico City
MEXICO CITY (AP): An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6 rocked Mexico City early Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said, knocking out power in parts of the city.
The quake hit shortly before 1 a.m. local time (0600 GMT), sending people out into the streets. It lasted less than a minute but was strongly felt by residents.
Police patrolled streets while families waited out on the streets in their pajamas, fearing aftershocks.
